Ok. I always loved the little history lesson Blackhawk put up in front of their films. So here’s one for the archives. I recently came across a Blackhawk wooden nickel (see photos). The seller didn’t know anything about it and I haven’t found anything in the old catalogues I’ve perused. Does anyone know anything about these (aside from the obvious)?
Came across these awhile back. Souvenirs, really. No intrinsic value...when could someone actually buy/rent a film for a nickel? Just fun keepsakes...Shorty
Oh I don’t care about the value really. I just can’t find mention anywhere of the history of Blackhawk’s “rent one film, get a second rental free” promo. I’d love to know when that was, how popular it might have been, etc.
