Thank you!
I would be interested in seeing what others have created to adorn the boxes containing your Super 8mm/8mm collections. Here are some films in my collection where I designed the BOX ART :
When the first Gladiator extract was released, Andreas E. kindly made his box cover art available. He based it on UFA's covers.
Rob, I would take you up on your offer, however for some reason the only Matrix release I have is The Final Flight of the Osiris. I don't recall why I never got the others...
Its been a few years now since you sent me your box art of "Once Upon A Mouse" later "A Grand Day Out" they looked great and at time had them printed onto the film boxes, thanks for doing them.
Your welcome Graham!
I must say I really enjoy doing box art. It's time consuming of course, but it's also a very creative process, and an opportunity to put a little personal touch to your film collection.
And a great film print certainly deserves a great looking box.
These are new boxes with New Box art I customized for my film collection.
For KHAN I wanted to go with a retro KEN FILMS design.
For TERROR OF DRACULA I wanted to create an old Entertainment Films box. It's sized for a 400' reel. I customized it with Nosferatu pics rather than the basic Barrymore and Chaplin shots. Took me quite a while to find this special 8mm edit on eBay. It's the same one advertised towards the back of FAMOUS MONSTERS magazine. A Captain Company purchase for sure!
It was a glorious Christmas morning when I was 12 in 1969. Santa brought me TERROR OF DRACULA on 2 200' reels in flimsy plain white boxes with name stamped on the flap. And, ABBOTT AND COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN. I wore these OUT on my new 8mm THUNDERBIRD projector.
