Do you remember when real films have been shown as in flight entertainment? (I don’t despite being old enough as I didn’t flew long distances back then.)
Anyway: That’s the first time I’ve seen such a film still in its original cartridge:
I hadn't seen an actual cartridge before as well, and I collect optical sound super 8, ex in flight films. It's a technology that, apart from super 8 collectors, no one knows about anymore. A shame, with such a long life, from 1967 to 1989, ( up to the early 90's in Japan ). By the way, look close at the label on the cartridge ... "Sunstrand"! The UK Sunstrand company, which was one of the main suppliers of optical sound super 8!
