  • Issue with Dejur Model 1000 8mm Projector

    Hello all!

I’ve come here with a bit of an issue that I’d love some support and advice with. I just picked up a dejur model 1000 projector from a friend and while the light and motor both work great, nothing seemed to be moving when the motor was on. I could hear it running but the spools and claws weren’t moving. After opening up the projector, I found that although the shaft coming off the motor was spinning, the belt and the metal piece where the belt sits aren’t moving. I’ve attached a video that illustrates this issue.https://youtube.com/shorts/MSxXwep9wLE?feature=share

My first thought is that I need a new belt, but besides some wear and tear, the belt seems to be in fine condition. If I spin the wheel by hand it all turns no problem.

Really stumped on this one, and hoping that you all may have some insight.

    Thanks so much!

    Hi Yonah, welcome…..
i am not familiar with your machine, but having viewed your video clip it looks as though the shaft that is spinning does not allow the drive pulley to rotate. It could be a sort of clutch arrangement which needs to be pushed inwards to engage the drive pulley. If there is an inching knob you could check that the mech is running free, the good news is your motor seems fine.

I am sure other members will have better suggestions to fix your problems. Keep us posted and good luck.

Having read the instructions kindly sent by Simon,it looks as though the still frame lever is in the on position so the mech is in pause mode, moving it to the off position should restore movement to the mech, fingers crossed !!
