  • Title sequences?

    Hi!

Just out of curiosity: Have there ever been any pre-made titles outside of Germany?
I can find them from various German companies on eBay on a regular basis, including „DEFA Heimfilm“ = on non-fading ORWO material. But I have never seen any English, French, Spanish, Italian, … versions?! Instead, I noticed a lot of different title card sets and companies that offered to create custom titles with a text of your own.

Off the top of my head, I believe there was a company called "arrow" - not sure if they were British or American - that would produce 2' animated titles for the front and back of ones films. I have 2. "My Family" and "The End"

I have tried to find if I still have the box in my collection to photoshoot onto this message, but alas no.

Can anyone elaborate on this please? Brian Fretwell maybe ?

I remember the name "Arrow" I think they also disributed early Techno prints of Warner, and the term "Arrowtabs" come to mins, which would fit the animated titles. A very quick look through a couple of early 1970's Movie Makers magazine didn't find any adverts though. I'll look again when I have more time.

Arrow sold cement splicers, screens and movie filming lights too.
