That was a fun & entertaining discussion. I really enjoyed the section on Michael Mann's The Keep. I had read the book, then saw it in the theater back in 1983, not knowing that the studio had taken the film from Mann and released their own cut. Too bad we never got to see his version.
Thanks Doug, I’m so glad you enjoyed my latest podcast, it’s such a shame about The Keep as the studio lost faith in the project due to the production many issues and the death of special effects genius Wally Veevers, it was vey nearly going to be a 70mm Roadshow release too!, a flawed film indeed but a fascinating one all the same.
