  • What a nice little curiousity!

OK, I know that probably countless Blackhawk collectors have run into these, but for the first time, I ran into one! I opened my brand new copy of "Teddy at the Throttle", and found this card in the box! No doubt, most of the time, these cards were quickly lost .

Blackhawk also released the sound (music/effects) versions of THE TRAMP, THE CHAMPION, MABEL'S MARRIED LIFE (Chaplin), THE DESPERATE SCOUNDREL (Ford Sterling), HIS ROYAL SLYNESS, NON-STOP KID, TWO GUN GUSSIE and RING UP THE CURTAIN (Harold Lloyd), THE NOON WHISTLE (Stan Laurel), THE SHOW and THE BELLHOP (Larry Semon), FATTY AND MABEL ADRIFT, SUPER HOOPER-DYNE LIZZIES, LOVE LOOT AND CRASH, THE BANGVILLE POLICE and THE GREAT TRAIN ROBBERY at 18 fps., along with some D.W. Griffith titles.

For a reference- the May 1977 bulletin, page 14, lists the type of music used on their scored-silents up to that point (Gaylord Carter, John Muri, etc.)
