  • Sears 8mm sound system 94440

Hi, I am new here, and I am looking for some information on this unit. It is in like almost new condition. I can't find anything about it. I am looking to sell it. So I came here for help. Thanks, Gary.

The easiest way to add a picture to a post is use Windows "snipping tool" and copy and paste.

The best way to sell it on Ebay as an auction. That way you don't have to guess what it might sell for.

That unit is not compatible with the standards used for normal 8mm sound prints. A standard 8mm film soundtrack is advanced 56 frames ahead of the image. This unit here reads the sound from an extended arm above the supply reel and would playback the sound several seconds out of sync and would be useless for commercial sound films. This unit and similar sound adapters for 8mm silent projectors are only compatible with films recorded using this system and no others.

Thanks for the information. It must have been used for a purpose back then anyway. It maybe could be used as an amplifier? Either way, it is cool and still has that old time smell.

                Gary,

There's nothing wrong with a big picture! The unit looks to be in great shape.
