Hello all , is it possible to replace a 15v 150 lamp used in my ST1200 (and similar projectors) to a higher lumen output led lamp? Im assuming as LED lamps do not produce the same heat output as conventional 'bulb' type lamps then a higher light output might be achieved. Has any kind soul converted a projector to LED lighting, and greater lumens?? thank you

Hi!
AFAIK, most LED conversions are only as bright as a 50W halogen lamp.
That’s because brighter LEDs are much larger than the tiny S8 frame. And their light cannot be bundled properly.
At the moment, nearly all LED-conversions have either been made for conversions into telecine devices (where the image doesn’t have to be bright at all) or for projectors with odd bulbs that are not readily available anymore.

Tveden (while it was still in business) had the most advanced LED-plug-in-lamp:

But here, it was only a replacement for a 100W lamp.
