Mechanical clicking sound at the front of my GS1200 projector
Ran a couple of films this evening and my GS1200 has started to make a mechanical clicking sound, I have checked the belts but I can't find what's creating it, Has anyone come across this and has anyone a solution?
It could be the little gear in the front arm assembly that is apart of the motor drive. They are prone to developing a crack over time due to shrinkage. It stops the gears from meshing together.
I have replace many of them. They will crack with age. But they last a very long time. Yours could be the original one.these machines are over forty years old. That small gear is a work horse.
