I went to watch a new film tonight, and my Elmo wouldn't go into forward motion. At first, the buttons wouldn't even stay pressed down. After a little bit, they would stay pressed down, but still no film thread or any hear movement on the front side. I opened the back and noticed nothing actually moving. Is this an easy fix or has something went horribly wrong?

Oops! ELMO GS1200 (or is that ELMO 1200GS?) Anyhow, it's baffling. it's never done anything like this before. It's almost like the projector has frozen up, but i see no problems internally. No belts broken. Lamp works just fine. Oh, also, when i first attempted to push those buttons to get it running, when the buttons would not click into place, there was a little claw movement, but little lamp power as it did so. it seems like it's something shorting out, but I am no professional with these ELMO's.Comment

Osi, have you tried switching the ESS switch at the back. It doesn’t explain the buttons not staying down but would cause the lack of motion.Comment
