  • Odd exposure problem

Over the years i had a few 8mm home movies which when viewed have 2 separate images, one over the top of the other. It usually happens in the middle of a reel, the start & end being ok.I just wondered how this happens, is it when it is in the camera or when it is being processed ?.

Hi , sounds to me the double run film has been exposed twice, easy to do , happened to me a few times.in the good old days.
    cheers John

It certainly can't happen during processing. Are they the same images twice? If so you have a pull down problem in the camera, if different it would be as John suggested.

Sounds like standard / regular 8mm film that was double exposed during the 25 foot point when the roll was flipped around in the camera...
