Sankyo Today?

I stumbled upon this little music box recently. I won't say 100% for sure this is the same Sankyo that made all those cameras and projectors, but that typeface certainly seems familiar!

What a nice thing to have Steve and first one I've seen all very interesting. I could put that on top of my Sankyo projector to do the interval music :-)

Yes, it's the same company and they're still making music boxes.

What it played is an interesting question: I met it in a pretty loud room!

Next time maybe it will be quiet and I can give it a crank and a listen. (I vote for the 20th Century Fox Fanfare!)

It's nice to see some remnant of these companies still in business. Elmo still sells document projectors for business and educational use. Their US headquarters is a county away from where I live, and that's the back story to my avatar. Some people think it's because I am some Elmo Fanatic. It's really more a matter of geography: if the building said "Eumig" on it. that's what would be in the picture too!
