  • Osram xenophot

I have two new boxed osram EFR 15v 150w lamps both have the same code 64634 but one says xenophot and the other does not. Also the one that does not has the small locating lug on the edge where as the other is a smooth edge.My question is as the code number is the same Would they both be xenophot ?

It seems that the number 64634 refers to a lamp's volts/watts. If the box does not say Xenophot then it probably isn't.

Sounds like you have one that's the older Wotan Xenophots.
The latest range of Osram HLX lamps does not have the lamp locating pin you mention.
personally I preferred the original Wotan lamps as I found the fire cement they used to hold the lamp in the reflector better. Had a few Osrams latest batch where the lamp itself fall out.

Do the HLX lamps replace the Xenophots?
