The glass protector is suppose to drop down to protect the film from burning but lately it’s been staying up I recently changed the bulb did I bump something?

Maybe you touched it and not realised Jim, just move it up and down manually and see if its rubbing anywhere, a gentle push/ bend is normally enough to rectify it, Mark -
I examined it today but cannot see what's going on by using a screwdriver I pushed up on the bracket it attaches to there is a spring load that lowers its down I lifted up which brought it down but just goes half way up when the control knob is used. I t looks like its attached to the belt mechanism its not a big deal just annoying if i don't forget to shut the lamp off before while trying to grab screen shots.
Leon Norris has retired from fixing projectors I called him up and his wife answered and said he's at work.Comment
