  • Max Capacity of Regular 8mm Projector

    Hello,

I know with S8, there are various projector models, and each model has differences as to what reel capacity they are capable of holding.

When it comes to Regular 8, there are many models as well. I'm looking to get a R8 projector, and I was wondering in everyone's experience, what model has the highest reel capacity?

Do R8 projectors go up to 800ft reels? I don't have access to a long-play unit, but would like one if I could find one eventually.

I'm looking for a solution for now though, to be able to play back 800ft reels maximum.

    Any suggestions are welcome.

    Thanks!

Half way thru our Halloween show and remembered didn't Dixons UK do a version of the Bolex for std 8 sound which had a 800ft reel capacity? Might be wrong tho. Probably called Compere like most of Dixons projectors.

Back to the Elmo still outdoors quite exciting and mild.
