  • Bauer T600/T610 Instruction Booklet Wanted

I have both of these projectors but not an instruction booklet for either - I was wondering if anyone has a copy on say a PDF that they wouldn't mind sending me so I can print it off?

Also, I noted that both projectors have what I can only call a 'spindle' type thing a few inches from the lens that rotates very fast once you turn the main rotary-switch fully on. I've never seen this on any other projectors that I have and was wondering what it is and its function?

Thanks in anticipation of any help that can be offered.

    It's an inching knob.
Oldtimer Cameras can supply a printed manual, BUT it's in German. Copies in English are extremely rare.

Thanks for the information OES Maurice. I can't read German so I will just have to try and figure it out.

What does an inching knob do?

Ali, I use the Bauer 500/600 series and like their film handling qualities and quiet running.I find the hum levels on my machines quite high though.,and
The inching knob just turns over the mechanism and is handy locating a precise part of the film, good if your recording a sountrack.
My instruction book is in German too.

The instruction book contains many clear photographs, and if you are not sure what is showing you can always use an on-line translation site.

Maurice - thanks very much for clarifying and that means it will be worth my while to order it 👍

David - so do I take it then that with the Projector not in 'running' mode but with the lamp on, you can turn the Inching-Knob by hand to advance the film frame by frame then??

Ali, the inching knob turns the mechanism over no matter what the main control is set to. If you have lamp pre heat(one of the front rocker switches ) set to on,you will see a dim picture on the screen,as you turn the inching knob.

Ok David and thanks for the information. I was just a bit taken back when I saw that knob spinning around very quickly whilst the projector is in the 'play' mode.
