  • Calculating movie length

Some of you may find this website very interesting

    https://planetcalc.com/855/

I put in the start time as 5 o'clock

and the finish time is 8:15 PM

in this case I was thinking James Cameron's Titanic

it calculated the movie total is three hours and 16 minutes and that the movie has 5885 frames

Yes, that seemed way to few frames converting 3hrs 16min to seconds and multiplying by 24 frames/sec I got 282,240 frames. Just using the calculator in Windows accessories.

Chip, one minute of film running at 24 fps would be 1,440 frames. The number you give would run about as long as a 50 foot spool of film, or 4 minutes thereabouts.
