Keystone Regal k109 suddenly stops

Hello, I am going through family movies and suddenly the machine slowed a bit and quickly stopped. I do not have a manual, but did just oil in red dot spots. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Was there any smell of electrical burning? Can the mech be turned by hand at all?

No smell. Tough to turn so I stopped. I just oiled it this morning. I did not know if it would take some time(days) to settle in.

Had the projector been sat around or stored for a long time before this happened?

It had sat for years. When I started using it, it ran like a dream. It was running well for a few days until it slightly slowed and then stopped.

New to this forum. Similar motor operation happened when I resurrected my old family Keystone K109. Motor slowed then stopped with just a humming noise. After disassembly of the projector I found that the lower film drive sprocket gear shaft had seized up. Able to remove the gear/shaft assembly and used 1500 sand paper to polish the gear shaft and lightly oiled the gear/shaft when re-assembling. Also oiled the upper sprocket shaft. Motor and gears running like new.
