Martin. Bill Parsons is respected for specialist repairs although the great man may now be semi retired.
The other guy mr black had one of my projectors for 12 months when I phoned him told me he was about to sell it. So much for the 1990's
Bill is a gentleman and very reliable offering professional service. Hope he can help you, one of the good guys.
Had a few 708 machines but all have been a little costly to maintain with regard to spare parts. New sound heads are a little short of 500 euro at the moment so seem a good choice to print money. I let my last one go trying to avoid a second mortgage.
If its damp try to run the machine for an hour to clear the cobwebs. Best to you and the Beaulieu 🚂🚃🚃🚃
Hi. New to the forum. Purchased a new Beaulieu 708 EL projector when I was about 20 ( now 56) and have run it over the years but sound packed up several years ago and of late the drive motor seems to have also stopped working, I suspect it may be due to damp house. Are there any repairers out there anyone can recommend. I have sent it to a guy called Stan Greet (I think in Nottingham)who sorted the sound our many years ago but I suspect he is long since retired. Any help or suggestions welcome. I have a basic knowledge of electrics so if there are some simple test I can do first then happy days. I'm in Cornwall, UK. Mainly keen to transfer much of my footage to digital and this one as the two shutter for video transfer and variable speed.
