Quiz - Laurel and Hardy Super 8 releases by Mountain Films

Just for a bit of fun, here's an easy quiz based on the Laurel and Hardy Super 8 releases from Mountain Films.

Mountain released many versions of Laurel and Hardy films of various lengths. There could be many different releases, usually with made up titles, from a single original title.

For this quiz, simply identify the actual original film title that these 14 releases were taken from. They will not be too difficult to identify for most L & H fans but no cheating using the interweb!

I could only answer a few, so I didn't do it, but I enjoyed the box illustrations, just the same. With all of this interest in the lads, it has inspired me to do my first new review in over a year, to be posted very soon!

Michael, that sounds like a typical Mountain films title!

Here's a few more covers from 'A Chump at Oxford' extracts that they released and some from 'Way out West'. There was no doubt quite a few more released than shown in this selection.





















These were all 400ft B/W sound except for 'Gold Diggers', which is 200ft B/W sound (but there may have been a 400ft release of this, I'm not sure). I think all the 400ft releases were also available as silent versions.
