Argus 870 Showmaster Projector

The projector plays Super 8 films okay, but not regular 8, the image chatters. Is the 870 supposed to play regular 8mm film too, or just Super 8?

It looks like it is super 8 only. I am not good at posting links but this takes you to the main page of the database. Click on the projector, select Argus and find your model. Hope that helps!

For what it's worth, I did a Google search and there are some models available on eBay. They appear to be Super 8 only. If you don't have a switch, or a second detachable sprocket set, I wouldn't recommend running Standard 8mm films on it.

Thanks y'all. Looks like only Super 8 which explains why standard 8 doesn't play.
