I am having a problem with it threading. It will go a ways,, but before it gets to the point of the take up reel down below, it clicks and reverses course in rewind. There are no obstructions in that section down below (part of the loops), so I am kind of perplexed. Any help?

There is a switch behind that first bend from the supply reel that triggers the auto rewind when the film is fixed to the supply reel and the tension rises up at the end of film. If you never use this feature, you can disable this switch and the problem will go away.
