Anyone know why the take up spindle does not take up the film while viewing? The spring seems taut so maybe something inside the unit? I don't have a parts manual only the basic one that in those days didn't tell you much. Otherwise it works great. thanks

This projector is now 82 years old. Perhaps there is dried up grease preventing the take up pulley inside the projector from rotating.
Take off the back, and have a look inside.
