It's now 12.50am here in the UK and I'm going to have to go to bed.

Before that, imagine that scene in Star Trek II, where Kirk shouts 'Khaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!!!!!' and it reverberates through space. Well I'm imagining it where he screams 'Douuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuug', after trying to solve this doozy of a quiz!

The woman in 'E' could be Ava Gardner, maybe?

        Gary,

I absolutely see the resemblance, however it is not Ava. I will say that these two are not the top billed stars of the film.

          Hints!

          C. The artwork is from a UK company's 200' release of an animated film.

          E. This is a small detail from a very busy cover.

Thanks for the hints, Doug! I have already poured through my Walton catalogues and haven't had any luck.

I thought 'C' could be from a 'foofoo and gogo' cartoon that Mountain films put out (I recall watching them on UK TV in the 1960s) but I don't think the shape of the shoe is right. I checked my couple of Mountain films catalogues and found nothing. It looks like some kind of spy thing but I have no idea.

The style of the artwork for 'E' looks similar to that for 'Designing Woman' from the 1950s but that's really all I've got. Think it's a musical but no idea which.

Come on Doug, this is worse than 'who shot JR'. Just put us out of our misery pleeeeeeeeeeeeas!!!!!!!!

                    Gary,

A lot of cruelty and heartlessness goes into the making of these quizzes.😉

E is not from a musical, and...... don't rule out Mountain Films for C.

Well, my last guess for 'C' is that it's a Dick Tracy animated film, purely based on the style of the tiny bit of artwork shown.

Sorry, Gary. It's not from a Dick Tracy cover.

If (C) is a Mountain Films' release, it must be at the peak, because I am having a tough time scaling the terrain and finding it. LOL!

Doug, is there an end date for this competition or are we going to suffer for all eternity (which I suspect is your plan)?

I will put you on the path to the cessation of suffering....at least when it comes to one of the two remaining covers.

The answer for C is the Mountain Films release of The History of the Cinema.

By the way, I am looking for a color/sound print of this title.

As for E, the final hint is that the director of this film has had a number of features put out as cutdowns in Super 8mm.

Thanks, Doug! This is a cover I have never seen. It looks like a fun release.
