Hello,
I have a new issue that has arisen with my Elmo ST-1200 Sound Magnetic projector:
The forward spindle no longer turns when the projector is put in clockwise/forward play motion but the rear take-up spindle does turn. Conversely, when I put the projector in counter-clockwise/rewind position, the front spindle DOES turn and the rear spindle does not. It seems, as well, that the speed has diminished noticeably in the motor and it has in conjunction caused the bulb to create more of a "flickering" pattern than it has in the past.
Are there any suggestions as to what I could do to rectify this problem? I am using the projector to digitize audio from super 8 movie reels, so I've been running it at 60Hz in 18fps. For science, I switched it to 24fps, and no different result is observed.
Here is a video I made to demonstrate the issue.
Please help if possible!
Thank you,
Anna
