  • Nalcom FTL 1000 (M42 adaptor question)

Hello, I have a Nalcom FTL 1000 which has a faulty light meter that needs to be repaired. However, I do own an M42 adaptor to use prime lenses. The manual says that when you use the M42 adaptor you should set the prime lens to wide open on the prime lens and adjust the exposure using the exposure meter in the Nalcom. Does anybody know if that procedure can be reversed using the prime lens to set the aperture? I am assuming that the Nalcom's aperture is wide open without the light meter working... I have to confirm that. The camera will be sent off for repairs, but I was interested to know if anyone had an idea on this issue.

    Thanks
    Larry
