Thanks Thomas for your photos and points noted. I suspected there could be potential contact in the upper sprocket guide from Graham's green guide post. I inserted a Stainless steel roller here. I could have just filed a free opening but I had a roller from an old editor that just fit. A word to all: If you want to keep your GS-1200 running without risking your precious prints from lines or scratches be diligent! Read these posts and look after your beloved Elmo GS-1200! An excellent machine that just needs some attention from time to time...
