  • Santa film!

With the Holidays coming up before we know it, a question. The classic Castle Films release, "Santa Claus and Punch and Judy", was released as a sound 16mm and I believe that it was a standard 8mm release, but was this ever released as a super 8 sound release? Was it a standard 8mm sound release?

Shorty's word is good enough for me! There have been occasional actual negatives showing up on eBay for old Castle films releases, I'd love to see this pop up. There is a copy of this release from Castle Films on YouTube in sound, and it appears to be taken from a 16mm sound print, but I'd love to find that someone out there owns the original camera negative for this.

Scott MacGillivray's "Castle Films" book says 16mm film 810 "Santa Claus' Punch and Judy" had a very short life. 1948 to 1950.

... and yet, it was a fun one, especially with that original soundtrack.
