Fixing sound on GS-800

I've had luck working the track switch on my ST-1200HD to eliminate squeals, then again one time it turned out to be one of the pre-amp ICs on the sound board. (I made an educated guess and won my bet.)

I hope for your sake working some switch or other fixes this: not everybody has a friend that's a very experienced circuit assembler working at an industrial quality soldering station like I do.

-basically, every switch associated with sound, work a bunch of times, plug and unplug every jack many times as well (they often have integral switches) and hope for the best.

The above recommendations for working the record switch and the sound plug has worked very well for me especially on my ST800's.
