Beaulieu 708EL stereo take up arm problem

Hi Everyone i have an issue with my Beaulieu take up arm it does not click into place sometimes if i move it back and forth a lot it will randomly click into place, is this fixable?

Hi Tony,
The rear arm has a spring loaded clip and peg that engages into a cut out on the main body to hold it in place. It could be that the grease inside the arm has hardened so not allowing the pin to be engaged.
If you remove the two screws on the arms cover plate, it would then allow you to see if this is the case or if the spring has become disengaged.
There's not alot to go wrong with this mechanism and I think it would be an easy fix.

thanks steve i did look inside the arm at the spring it seemed ok to me i compared it to the front arm, ill have another look tomorrow and post a photo then you can see for yourself if its ok or not.

I loved my Beaulieu stereo projector. The focus locked in like no other projector. I had many wonderful screenings with friends of Derann prints like Die Hard, Alien and Speed. Good times in the 90s.

hi mark it is a great projector great focus like you say,great sound from external speakers too
