Philips or Osram a1/231

I need to order a couple of bulbs A1/231

I just wondered how people find the osram compared to the philips please.

I`ve always gone Osram.

I have some Philips 250 watts ( 16mm ) that actually seem to beat the Orsams, both 50 hour versions.

I recently purchased some Phillips FCR bulbs for my Eumig Mark S (S8). I have found they seem to last longer than Osram's I have purchased in the past. I had an Osram FCR bulb blow a bit earlier than I would have expected. So far the Philips in my Eumig is doing well with many hours of use.

Just splitting hairs. The two lamps mentioned above are not the same.

Thats right thanks Maurice.

And you do tend to find the pin halogens out last the reflector ones by a very long way.

I`ll see what the A1/231`s are like, as the Philips A1/259`s are very good indeed.
