ELMO GS1200 rewind issue

Hi All!

I've just replaced the front arm gear, that usually fails after some years, with the new one built by Van Eck Video Services.
Now i'm experiencing the following issue: any reel, in rewind step, regardless its size (600, 800, 1200 feet) , cannot complete the rewind after half the size, showing that the torque force is insufficient...

Any idea of what could be happened? Can it be related to the new gear?

Just a guess Flavio but I was wondering, could it be that the meshing between the two gears is to tight.

Hi Graham, not an expert in mechanical so it could be!
But how eventually to make the meshing less tight? I don't see any possibility ...
