What projectors were you using? It looks like a GS1200 but was it the Xenon or std machine. Very impressive presentation.

I'm using my former GS-1200 Xenon that's undergone an HID conversion by Alan Gouger. I love the brightness and the lack of heat compared to when it used a Xenon bulb. I'm sandwiched between 16mm and 35mm projectors, and if you're just watching the screen, it's difficult to tell which projector is doing the job.Comment

Sunday….(Time to go!)

It’s always a good night’s sleep after Saturday Night Show: that’s a long day all the way from group breakfast out at the Marvis Diner through an afternoon of generally enjoying a roomful of film collectors, then Dinner and not just a movie, but maybe twenty of ‘em!
-but then comes the other side of the miracle: a couple of days ago this little village of film collectors almost spontaneously appeared (actually a lot of planning and work), and this morning it needs to disappear once again! (ditto)
If the following weekend some crochet society or baseball card convention appears in the “CineSea Room”, they will not find the end of a leader, a missing tape splice or even a whiff of vinegar. Everything will be put where it belongs (for now).
In the end it’s all worth it: it’s a very special weekend and a nice break from the daily grind. It’s nice that it’s never more than six months away: gives us something to look forward to!

I can absolutely understand not coming all the way from Europe to come just to CineSea, but how about as just one part of a USA exploration? Wildwood is within striking distance of Washington DC, Philadelphia and New York!
We love having film enthusiasts from everywhere they start out: it's part of what makes it interesting.
I wouldn't come to Germany just for the film fair at Deidesheim, but I was careful to notice it's maybe 30 minutes away from my family in Baden-Württemberg! (I hope I can make this fact useful someday!)Comment
