Will the Keystone K109 be capable of playing 8mm film with sound? I am assuming it won't, as I don't see any speakers on my unit. I am asking because I want to buy some 8mm movies, but I want to know if I would just be wasting my money on an 8mm film with sound

These are beautiful, old projectors. As a matter of fact, given their small size they are become trendy as home décor by people who have no intention of ever showing a film. They are often found in home theaters. There's one up on the 'net right now for $1,800 (discounted from $2,500!), although I think this is a little more than optimistic! (-not hard to find under $100: mine is from a rummage sale for maybe $20.) Yet someone imagines this is a really cool, exotic relic and imagines someone else will too.
What I love about things like this they were built to work basically forever, and if you find one that's been stuffed in the closet for 30 years, you can usually have it operating in a couple of minutes.
-then again, planned obsolescence hadn't been invented just yet!
