Hello all! I have been lurking on this forum for a while now and am very impressed by the number of knowledgeable and friendly people on here, so I decided it was time to join the club I am a fellow collector of projectors and camera equipment, mostly super 8 but I do a little bit of regular 8mm and 16mm as well. I think there's something magical about seeing a genuine film print being projected. Anyway, I recently acquired a Keystone Capri K-30 8mm movie camera in desperate need of lubrication. I estimate that it is likely running around 10 frames per second or less, but otherwise it is in beautiful condition and would love to bring it out of retirement. But I have one problem... I can't for the life of me figure out how to open it up to service it! I have removed every visible screw but cannot get the mechanisms to budge out of the case. Does anyone here have any experience working on these cameras, or any similar models?
