  • Noris Norisound 342 800" or 600" reel capacity

Has anyone here have the Norisound 342?
There is a mixed info about the reelcapacity.
Super8Database sais that the difference between the 4100 and the 342 is that the 4100 takes 600" 180m reels only, while the Noris 342 takes 800" reels 240m reels.
But when some put the Noris 342 for sale, some say 180m 600".

    Can anyone confirm please?

Had most of the Norisound machines and the 342 did accept 800ft reels, at least in 1978.
Now then, they may have improved the spec as mine was purchased very late in the day.
Norisound was a film makers projector rather than a collectors machine. Claw had a fast pull down along with a wide aperture shutter.
    Downside.
Troublesome switches that are difficult to get at.
Sound heads had a shorter life in general.
    Upside.
    Rear sprung gates
    Powerful amplification
    Crystal clear sound
    Light weight
    Very quiet running.

The seller send me a photo.
Can it be that this is an early version of the Noris 342 and only takes 600"?
Or is the 800" reel not that much larger looking at the sellers photo.
The Elmo wont fit for sure, cause it does not on my Bauer 610 either, but I have an 800" reel Bauer version that is smaller.
