  • Elmo SC-30

I'm going to pick up an Elmo SC-30 this weekend which is being sold "as is" but the seller says he already sold it but the previous buyer returned it because it wasn't working.
Are there any things in particular I should look at? I don't come across these too often so I guess there's not that many people who have experience with this model.
    Any help would be appreciated.

John - Welcome to the forum.

One basic mistake that people make is that sometimes the drive belt has either snapped or come off inside the machine. The effect is that the motor comes on but nothing happens with the mechanics. They think it is broken or not working. Check it and, if it IS the belt, they can be ordered on Ebay for around 10 euros or cheaper.

Of course, it may be something more serious which I cannot advise you about.

Hope it works out. Good luck !

Thanks for the respons. Yeah I hope the previous buyer didn't know much about projectors and it's just a snapped belt. But even if it's a more serious problem I can probably get my money back by selling the parts. If it has the F1.1 12.5-25 mm lens it would be worth the price for that alone.

Picked it up today and as far as I can see it only needs some cleaning and a new belt. It was at the bottom of the machine in 6 pieces
