  • Movie mistakes still in Super 8 Digests

I thought it might be interesting if we looked for movie mistakes in Super 8 digests. I know that full length films will have the errors in them. The wrist watch in Ben Hur for example. I will start the ball rolling,

in the 400’ cutdown of Bandolero 1968. Will Geer, who was excellent as the grandfather in the Walton’s crawls along a roof trying to reach some saddlebags containing money thrown on to a jutting out piece of wood from and adjacent building. He is wearing a khaki bowler. He gets shot in the chest by the attacking Mexicans and his hat falls off and behind him, he then falls of the roof wearing his hat!

Any other similar items out there that you have spotted, let us know.

    Phil,

    Good eye to catch that.

The first mistake that comes to mind is the famous The Invisible Man goof shown in both the Castle 200 footer and the Universal 8 400' version. The police set fire to the barn that Jack Griffin is hiding in, forcing him outside. They see his footprints in the snow and shoot him. The problem is the footprints are made by someone wearing shoes which would not be invisible!

      Doug,

Great one Doug, I never spotted that before. I have the Universal 400’ cutdown. A great black and white print.
