Thank you!
This super 8 print was included in some St 8 I bought recently, can any members tell me how many reels it should be , running time ,as I think this has footage missing. Thanks in advance.
John
John, I presume that ‘No Limit’ is the George Formby 1935 film. With a running time of 80 minutes it would be 4x400, very full reels or more likely 5x400. I can’t locate it in their catalogue, but as I see you mainly collect standard 8 it may have been discontinued some years back.
Yes Phil it’s the G Formby feature. I have an Elmo 1200 tucked away somewhere( have to hide stuff away!!) and will have to project it soon. This print I have comes on 3 reels, the first is only 2 thirds full, but does have the credits present . Looks as though there’s a lot missing. Thanks for your swift response.
John
Hi John. “No Limit” does indeed run for 80 minutes. I have it on recordable dvd which was originally on a vhs tape. Being an old 9.5er I also have a mute 3 x 300ft version which has ,most of the action but no songs. Pathescope also released it on 9 .5 sound as a 6 reeler which was slightly abridged. Ken Finch 😊
