  • Tripod for 8mm projector

I have seen many times for ootdoor screening, a 16mm can be put on a tripod. Any tripod available for 8mm projector.

If there is no, do you think a tripod with a tray designed for LCD projector (which is easily found) can hold 12 kg something of an 8mm projector?

    thanks

In Germany, I would suggest looking for a Karba table…

I prefer the 4 legged stand. Similar to what Joerg posted, I use a Welt Safe Lock projection stand for the GS-1200.

For lighter 8mm models, my old Sears projector table works fine. The height is not adjustable.

This stand (Auray LTS-ST Tripod Base) says it will support up to 45 lbs, however I would be concerned about the balance with larger projectors.

Here in the U K the most commonly used stand was made of steel with a black crackle paint finish and folded flat. They were used extensively in schools, the services and mobile operators using 16mm sound machines. A cast iron pedestal stand could be supplied for the Cinetechnic Debrie D16 machines. I have a slide projector stand which I use with a Eumig 810D but I would not use it for anything heavier. I have permanent timber framed stands in my home cinema in a rather cramped projection room. One is on wheels and can be moved out if required. Ken Finch.😊

I need the folded ones since the spot for putting projector now is very squezzy. 45 lbs is 20kg so it seems suffice for an ST-1200. Thanks for your input guys.
