This also occurred with Lone Wolf and of course Ken Films and Red Fox as well as Steel Valley, Canterbury and Kempski.
Can’t argue with you Ged but I know what I saw and heard.

Either Niles or Thunderbird Films did the same thing with some Blackhawk titles. I wonder as to how many "Rooster Cogburn" prints were actually struck? Probably not too many.

It was an official release with a box similar to shown below so could be more numerous than expected. You would expect most prints to be located in the US.

There was recent discussion about an Eiger Sanction full feature. I think it might have been a South African bootleg print.

Derek once told me when visiting America to tie up the deal for the residue of Universal 8 titles that he saw F/L prints of the John Wayne film "Hellfighters", sadly they were mute, and for some reason could not be sold, he thought it was a legal matter, but they never came on the market.

Ged I may be wrong, but wasn't "The Last Command" printed by Perry's (or Perry's as a lab), I thought I heard somewhere that Derann just ordered prints!

Once, only once, I did see a feature print of "Hellfighters" on super 8, on ebay. It was sharp, but beet red, as I recall.

No Last Command was printed at Filmatic. and later Buck who produced nice prints.

I have a feature length FLOWER DRUM SONG in B&W regular 8 sound. Kind of weird.
