  • Eumig S910 focus mechanism

I kind of like my weird little Eumig S910. Photo attached for reference. One problem. The focusing mechanism is compromised making it necessary to use the focusing knob in conjunction with manhandling the actual lens to achieve focus. Basically the lens is loose and flopping around. The culprit is a little metal clip that sits between the cam controlled by the focus knob and the lens. I can’t seem to reseat it properly. I can get it to work momentarily but then it pops out of place. Any advice from other owners of this little oddball? BTW, the sound from this thing is fantastic. 😁

Why Eumig didn't continue using the twist-to-focus lenses is strange to me. It's one of the reasons I really like the early models.

I own several projectors and my Bolex is the only “twist to focus” one I have.
