We had a special guest this time (-in a virtual sense). Janice Glesser has been a friend to CineSea from its very beginning. The continent in-between has kept her from joining in. Doug and Shorty decided they would do what they could to bring her there, and through Cellular Technology took her on a virtual tour. I joined in myself: I’ve written back and forth to Janice many times, but this was the first time we had an actual, verbal conversation. She met my son, and I met her grandson! .
What a great idea! It got me to thinking that it might be worthwhile to look into include Live Streaming on Youtube as part of future events. Of course, it would require someone to volunteer to coordinate this. It would work well for special presentations, such as a Q&A session with a subject matter expert.
The process looks fairly straight forward. Here is a video on how to do it:
That is a possibility. I've worked on many live shots and going live adds a layer of pressure to any event, so that’s something to take into consideration.
