  • Elmo GS1200 jumping image

Hi I've been looking for a replacement sutter for this machine but I've managed to rebuild it as someone had been in with a pair of pliers.
On stripping it down i found the claw spring was snapped so i managed to fine a replacement from a GS1200 so its correct.
I have put the machine back together and the claw now goes in and out as it should i found loads of things incorrect on the way .
anyway I've got it working but I do get a jumping image sometimes so somethings not correct.
I normally only repair 16mm bell and howells but i wanted a GS1200 so ive got it and need to repair it so any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi Barry.
Is there any way you can put up some detailed photos of the film path and gate assembly, including the pressure plate on the back of the lens assembly. The projector is ether losing its top and bottom loops or someone has played with the pressure plate adjustments, so it is not holding the film flat against the slate runners.
Give us as much information as possible. As you can imagine it's like performing brain surgery over the telephone. Without the information it is so difficult to diagnose the problem, as it could be something so simple to fix.
    Regards Steve

But one thing you mentioned is the btm loop as far as I could see the film just runs into the sound housing with no loop.

One thing I should mention it is a mk3 and I think they have a different btm loop.
