  • Noris 100 super 8mm projector

Anyone own one of these? What's your opinion? I'm thinking of buying one. Does anyone know what type of lamp it takes?

Here's what was thrown up by an internet search:
The Noris 100 projector was fitted with an A1/21 100 watt mains voltage lamp with a Ba15/s (A.S.C.C.) base 1. If you are looking for a replacement, you can find a 12V 100W OSRAM projector bulb lamp for the Noris 8 & H12/100 projector on eBay 2.

    Hope this helps

Yes I have the full house on Noris Super range, the 50 basic budget, A/1 17 50w lamp, forward only power rewind, the 100 all movements, A/186 12v 100w 2pin lamp [used a lot in german /austrian machines both cine and slide], and the 200 which was a mechanically cleaned up 100.
The models designated synchroner had tape attatchments.
Mostly seen with standard focal length lenses.
My personal thoughts are they are much sweeter running than the Eumig P8.
However when it comes to belts, the 50 has 2, the 100 has a total of 5!! 2 inside front arm includes a spring belt [rarely needed to change either] 1 for take up arm spring[again rarely needed to change, the 2 main belts are drive and fast rewind most common for changing.
The 200 just 1 belt but flat profile
Unless you have use for it avoid the synchroner as it needs to be removed to change main drive belt and due to the age of the wiring on these machines can be a bit of a bugger, as the very thin wiring easily breaks.
Don`t be put off as a well sorted Noris is sweat.

Anything else you want to know please P.M. me as I have some spares.

      Regards TOM

        Just an afterthought Mike,
It is MOST important that the the machine comes with the correct mains lead. The correct lead is the german type used extensively by noris/bolex/ leitz/braun/etc, these are no longer available in U.K.spec, at sensible prices. I have seen non- earthed advertised and also the projector end [needs cable /plug] part for sale for 80+ euros plus shipping!!
I have also come across people putting a Japanese lead very similar but not a proper fit.
        Again, regards TOM
