  • Bell & Howell - Autoload Cartridge??

Hey everyone, I have a client with a Bell & Howell cartridge. This isn't something I've encountered before and I am wondering if it is a similar system to the Polavision Land Cassettes, where the film is developed inside the cassette, or if the fact it is still in the cassette means it hasn't been developed?

    Thanks!

I think it was just one of the cartridge loading systems taht developed but never caught on. You put the developed film into the cartridge and the projector loaded, showed then rewound the film for you. SOme (Bolex) had a system that took several 50ft cartidges and played them one after another. I think the Bell & Howell one had up to 400ft cartridges.

I believe Kodak & B&H each came out with their own cartridge systems. Kodak's Ektagraphic 120 and Eumig's 711R projectors used these.
