Noris 412 sound issues

Hi.i brought a realy nice noris 412 super 8mm sound projector from blackpool last year.
but it has a problem with the sound the volume control only works if you press on it or move it about but goes off again .i tried switch cleaner as i thought that might fix it but unfortunatly it is no diffrent .am i looking at a big or small repair .any advice would be gratefully accepted.

Hi Nigel,
It sounds like its a dry solder joint on the volume pot. If it only works when you apply pressure or move it around it is likely to be the case.
If you can get to the circuit board where the volume pot is, just flow some new solder around the connections, and this should solve the problem.
