So I’m going nuts trying to figure this out. This is my last ditch effort to get help on this forum. I see there’s 2 adjustment screws on both sides of the Big roller connected to the belt which I’ve already replaced. Either those need to be set perfectly or my motor is just dying but I cannot get it to work in Fwd. I can push the wheels together and get it to spin, but after tightening the screws it just doesn’t have enough pressure and friction to get the fwd wheel to start moving.

Welcome Leo...Could you post some pics to help identify the screws you are referencing? Also is there any movement at all when you put the switch to forward? Does it run in reverse? Does the light turn on? There is also a possibility of a bad wire or switch. -
Here are photos of both sides off this section. The screws highlighted in red can be loosened and the bracket attached to it adjusted. I also took a photo of the belt. Although it’s new and not slipping, it doesn’t appear to be super tight. I’ve played around with different positions to see if I can get it to spin normally in the FWD mode, but no dice. I can loosen the screws and press the wheels together with my thumb and get it to spin, but even after tightening the screws in that position, it doesn’t hold up. There must be a happy balance that both of these sections must be set to. I will also note that regarding the piece with the springs on both sides, when you move the lever to forward it does move the spring mounted piece but not the roller assembly itself, in reverse position it does move the entire roller assembly. I tried attaching a video but it’s exceeding file size. I’m also curious if these rubber wheels need to be cleaned/conditioned? I don’t have any specific products other than rubbing alcohol and wd40. Hope this helps

From the photos Leo it's hard to determine which setting you are using forward or reverse. I've attached some photos of my super 8 Bell & Howell (not the same model as the 466) for you to see the position of the rollers compared to yours.
I have converted the lamp to use a more modern less expensive halogen bulb.
Forward - drive wheel does not touch shutter wheel
Reverse - drive wheel touches shutter wheel

The last video you PM'd me shows The belt not turning the rubber roller. It appears it is too loose and this would explain why it's not going in forward or reverse. This is the main roller which you can also see in my photo that needs to be turning whether it is reverse or forward. Since the light does go on and it appears the linkage is moving It doesn't look like there is a problem with the switch and probably is a belt issue.

new belt made no difference, it must have something to do with adjusting those 2 areas I highlighted in red.Comment
