  • Film Cap (Transfer app for smartphones)

    Hi!

    Anyone already tried „Film Cap“?
    https://www.film-cap.com

It sounds like it might have some features that reduce the post processing steps.

I just downloaded it and am a little bit disappointed:
    • no 16 or 18 fps - only 24, 30 and 60 fps
    • Using the cropping function reduces the video resolution from UHD to HD
    • Even when there is no effect activated, the colors are looking different (didn’t check with a projector - maybe the white balance is permanently set to artificial light while I am currently using sunlight)
    • doesn’t support rotating the phone
I haven’t checked with a projector yet. So I can’t tell anything about the „flicker removal“ feature or the preset filters for faded or reddish films. Also can’t tell how good the autofocus behaves. (In Filmic Pro Legacy, switching to manual focus is the first thing to do.)

I'd demand a refund when they claim:
      • FPS Adjustment...Choose from various Frames Per Second settings to eliminate screen flicker and ensure smooth playback.
and don't provide 18fps. What were they thinking?

Maybe email them and ask for the feature?

          Hi!

I have sent them an email. I’ll keep you updated (also on my tests with a projector - but I’m pretty much blocked the next ten days).
